NOTE: Candidates must be enrolled in a degree program at the start of the Internship in order to be considered. This position runs from May 2024 thru August 2024.

Job Functions

This position will work closely with the HR Manager to support all aspects of Human Resources within the division, which includes, but is not limited to, recruiting, onboarding, benefits and employee engagement. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain real-world HR experience while making an impact.

Job Type
Location: Onsite at our Minnetonka, MN, office location

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm (hours are flexible)

Essential Functions

  • Post job requisitions and source passive candidates to help us find strong talent.
  • Coordinate recruiting efforts to optimize the candidate experience through scheduling phone screenings, video interviews and follow-up debriefs.
  • Administer background checks and drug screens.
  • Learn how to navigate and utilize the HRIS tool (Workday); assist in running reports to ensure system and data accuracy.
  • Serve as a point of contact for first-level employee questions and issues.
  • Support the organization and administration of employee training and events.
  • Shadow different HR functions to gain a strong understanding of the HR lifecycle.
  • Assist in managing administration and communication for leaves of absence and offboarding.
  • Maintain employee confidentiality and data security at all times.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.
  • Any other job responsibilities as assigned by management and subject to modification.

Education

  • Ideally pursuing a bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration or related field
  • Sophomore year of college or above
  • Must have a current GPA of 3.0 or higher

Work Experience

  • 1+ years of experience in customer service or administrative role a plus

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

  • Willing to take responsibility and act independently when necessary
