ARxIUM has been providing innovative solutions in the pharmacy automation space for over twenty years and currently serves customers in North America, Europe and Asia. We have offices in Winnipeg and the Chicago Area and work remotely in cities across North America and Europe.

This is a 4 month internship running from May to September.

Candidates must located in the Chicago area as this is an on-site role.

Essential Functions:

  • Review existing product drawings in different locations. Catalog these drawings (compile an index of each file's contents) and consolidate these drawings in a location designated by Product Engineering leadership.
  • Convert existing AutoCAD 2D product/part drawings to 3D in SolidWorks.
  • Review engineering documentation from previous customer builds. Consolidate the documents in a location designated by Product Engineering leadership.
  • Review engineering drawings of off-the-shelf parts. Prepare these drawings for ECO release. 
  • Participate in the design of at least one system component

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • A student in their third year or later pursuing an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering, or related field and seeking the opportunity to get hands-on experience
  • Familiarity with 2D CAD application required.
  • Exposure to 3D CAD application [Creo, CATIA, ACAD-3D, Inventor or SolidWorks] required.
  • Exposure to or familiarity with PDM is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong sense of drive, initiative, and the ability to manage simultaneous tasks and responsibilities; Able to work well under pressure/in deadline-driven environments
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate resourcefulness and problem-solving skills
  • You are eager to learn, take pride in your work and have an interest in the pharmacy automation industry
